Looking more closely at the abundance of leaves in the garden in July, I found inspiration within the various shades of green.

Some tones are more yellow, and some are more blue within the leaves at their peak. For this piece, I wanted to create a design which captured a snapshot of that variance.

Whilst arrangement, and the light and shade play a part within the design, it is the depth in the difference in colour tone that is emphasised. The hint of blue enables the piece to work very well within a cooler or more northern-positioned interior.

This piece begins the Leaves Series 1.0 and was exhibited at Art in the Park in Leamington 2018, where the theme of the festival was Trees.
