Our Clients needed our help to create a Mid Century style Lounge design in Stratford-Upon-Avon. They have a keen interest in Mid Century design and have a collection of pieces from the period, which include ceramics, furniture and artwork.
North facing and with shaded areas to improve, a design brief to create a cosy, calm yet interesting living room was desired.
We knew firstly, that a few simple movements within the layout could make a great difference. Mindful of the two entrances and required seating, we proposed a reorientation of the room. This has created much more ease within the space which our Clients are really excited about.
We have made valuable suggestions in the design proposal, to furnish the room and protect its individuality. In a design proposal such as this, we felt it important for the Clients to retain personalisation amidst the opportunities for further Mid Century style.
We proposed a variety of smaller, collective layers within their design as opposed to dramatic features. Light yet warm colour, ambient lighting, texture and gentle pattern all compliment our Clients’ collection and taste.
The progress of this mid century style lounge design in Stratford-Upon-Avon is underway. We can’t wait to see it later this year!
